Membership in NAVPLG

Membership is open to individuals and groups associated with administering volunteer programs in the public sector. Members range across many levels of government, including city, county, state, and Federal, along with special districts, school districts, universities, and those supporting these programs. The membership term is Jan. 1 through Dec. 31. Learn more about member benefits below.

Member Benefits include:

• Free admission to the NAVPLG Virtual Education Series, held monthly on topics relevant to professionals who administer governmental volunteer programs. Additionally, members can view past recordings of educational series presentations on the members-only website.

• Free admission to AL!VE Academy Webinars, held monthly on topics relevant to volunteer engagement professionals. Content with a DEAI focus is presented quarterly and accessible to anyone, whether member or not.

• Free admission to NAVPLG Membership Forums, a virtual forum with a panel of leaders providing wisdom and best practices on topics selected by the membership's needs.

• Quarterly Member Newsletter: Produced quarterly, the newsletter provides focused content for the profession, partnership opportunities and discounts, professional development, upcoming events, recognition opportunities, and more!

• Leadership Development: Opportunities to serve on a committee, board, or volunteer to support professional development, advocacy, best practices, and networking on a national scale.

• Networking opportunities with leaders at local, state, and Federal government organizations through NAVPLG forums, NAVPLG awards, and our searchable member database.

Membership Categories

Individual Membership:  $50.00 Annually

• Premier membership for individuals focused on volunteer management in any government setting, including program directors, managers, coordinators, administrators, and officials.

• While NAVPLG welcomes non-governmental volunteer engagement professionals, only individuals representing a governmental organization can vote in Association elections and business or serve on the Board of Directors.

• Membership is transferable if paid by a government entity. Memberships paid by an individual are not transferable.

Government Group Membership: $200.00 Annually

• Includes six full individual premier memberships and additional memberships may be purchased at a discounted rate.

• While NAVPLG welcomes non-governmental groups, only individuals representing a governmental organization can vote in Association elections and business or serve on the Board of Directors.
