NAVPLG Invites Nominations for 2009 Awards
**Non members may apply**

      Looking for a way to bring credit to your program, or recognize an outstanding volunteer manager?  What better way than to be recognized by your national organization – NAVPLG!   Here’s your opportunity to shine, or to bring credit to another program or manager.
      Nominations are currently open for three awards to be given by NAVPLG in 2009:

  1. The Outstanding Volunteer Administrator (pdf) will be recognized for a number of qualities including their effective use of leadership skills, creative utilization of people, resources and opportunities, a strong sense of professional ethics, and an ability to mentor youth and/or peers

  2. The Innovative Program Award (pdf) honors the outstanding achievements of a local government program in their creation and implementation of a program/service, which utilizes volunteers to creatively serve both their local government and their community.

  3. The Outstanding New Volunteer Administrator Award (pdf) will be given to someone who has been in their position serving local government for three years or less.

      The awards will be presented in San Francisco at the National Conference on Volunteering & Service, June 22-24.   Winners will receive a plaque and a membership in NAVPLG for the coming year, along with the satisfaction of recognition by his or her peers.
      Self-nominations will be accepted and membership in NAVPLG is not required.  The deadline for nominations is Monday, May 4 and the nomination forms. Email completed forms to AWARDS COMMITTEE
