Here is what some recent CVAs had to say about the process:
“I have learned so much by taking time to get certified and have made several improvements to our processes. Going through this process has given me more confidence as a volunteer administrator. I highly recommend the process to all volunteer managers!”
Lee-Ann Scott, CVA
Ottawa Network for Education, Ottawa, ON Canada

“I’m so thrilled I’ve finally obtained this lofty goal! The process was actually quite challenging and which taught me so very much. I treasure this credential even more for how challenging it was to obtain. I also feel  that I now have an amazing professional group and resource to which I belong. I certainly expect to continue to use the experience, knowledge and networking gained through this process. The leaders and other CVA’s I connected with were so encouraging in the process. I was also inspired to continue in the pursuit of this credential as they shared how they have used the knowledge and experience to change the world for better through their higher level of volunteer administration. I highly encourage anyone working with volunteers to seek this credential – both for the process and for the final certification. All of it is highly practical and essential for the managing, recruiting and celebrating of volunteers today!”
Debra Rothe, CVA
Bethany Lutheran Communities, Watertown, WI

“I attribute my current position as Volunteer Coordinator with the City a direct result of having the CVA”
Victoria Eggleston, CVA
 Portland, OR

“Volunteer Tulsa is committed to professional development so it makes sense that I experience the entire process. From application and study, to exam and portfolio (a re-do was required!), and, now, in supporting other volunteer administrators, my understanding and perspectives of our field continue to expand. At the same time, so does my respect for volunteer administrators with brimming-full lives who tackle this rewarding experience with enthusiasm. It is an honor to help each measure their own knowledge and enjoy that sense of accomplishment!”
Brenda Michael-Haggard, CFRE, CVA
Volunteer Tulsa, Inc., Tulsa, OK USA
