MEMBERS ONLY: MENTORING PROGRAM A new volunteer coordinator is paired with an experienced manager for consultation and support. You must be a NAVPLG member - click here for membership info! NAVPLG Mentor/Apprentice Program Guidelines 1. Mentor must have at least three years experience in the field of volunteer management and be a current member of NAVPLG.2. Mentor must agree to provide mentoring through telephone or e-mail. 3. Mentor and apprentice commit to a one-year partnership. 4. To apply to be either a mentor or an apprentice, please complete the Mentor Information form. Include information about you, your program, and your experience as well as complete contact information. (You may download the print format from the Web site to send by mail or attach the email version electronically.)5. Mentors will be assigned to an apprentice by the NAVPLG Mentoring Coordinator.6. Mentors and apprentices are strongly encouraged to attend the ICVA Conference and particularly the NAVPLG Pre-Conference Workshop. This will allow them an opportunity to meet, confer in person, and be introduced at the NAVPLG annual meeting.
